The green chair on the painting is designed by the artist herself in 1895. The furniture set is now in the collection of Michael og Anna Anchers house in Skagen. 

In the paintings upper part, on shelf of the fireplace is an Egyptian limestone sculpture of a horus falcon from ca. 300 bc. The sculpture was sent home from Egypt by the artist in 1886.
